SEMINAR ON "LEGAL ASPECTS OF PEACEKEEPING"
BUCHAREST, 10TH-12TH JULY 1995
A Seminar on "Legal Aspects of Peacekeeping" will be
held in Bucharest from 10th to 12th July 1995 in the
framework of the North Atlantic Cooperation Council and
Partnership for Peace. The Seminar will be hosted by
the Government of Romania and co-sponsored by NATO. It
will bring together legal experts from NATO and other
North Atlantic Cooperation Council/Partnership for Peace
countries, as well as from the United Nations and the
Organisation for Cooperation and Security in Europe
(OSCE). The Seminar will deal with a series of
important legal questions related to various
aspects of contemporary peacekeeping operations. Its
goal is to share experience and promote a common
understanding of these issues, in coordination with the
work of the Ad Hoc Group on Cooperation in Peacekeeping,
which meets regularly in Brussels.

SEMINAIRE SUR LES ASPECTS JURIDIQUES DU MAINTIEN
DE LA PAIX
BUCAREST, 10-12 JUILLET 1995
Un seminaire sur les aspects juridiques du maintien de
la paix se tiendra a Bucarest du 10 au 12 juillet 1995,
dans le cadre du Conseil de cooperation nord-atlantique
(CCNA) et du Partenariat pour la paix (PfP). Cette
rencontre sera organisee par le gouvernement de
Roumanie et coparrainee par l'OTAN. Elle reunira des
experts des questions juridiques de pays de l'OTAN et de
pays membres du CCNA/PfP ainsi que des Nations unies et
de l'Organisation pour la cooperation et la securite en
Europe (OSCE). Le seminaire sera consacre a un ensemble
de questions juridiques importantes liees aux divers
aspects des operations de maintien de la paix
contemporaines. Le but vise est d'assurer la mise en
commun des donnees d'experience et de favoriser une
comprehension commune des questions en coordination avec
les travaux du Groupe ad hoc sur la cooperation en
matiere de maintien de la paix, qui se reunit
regulierement a Bruxelles.
