The Secretary General of NATO, Mr. Willy Claes, will visit
the United States from Friday, 3 March, till Thursday, 9
March 1995. During the visit he will meet with President
Bill Clinton, the Secretaries of State and of Defense,
with senior members of the U.S. Administration and also
with leading members of Congress.

MEDIA INFORMATION

On Monday, 6 March, the Secretary General will have
meetings with Secretary of State Warren Christopher and
the Secretary of Defense William Perry. On Tuesday, 7
March, Mr. Claes will meet with President Clinton at the
White House.
On 8 and 9 March, meetings with Senate and House
Committees are foreseen as well as a meeting with the
Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Newt
Gingrich.

The Secretary General's schedule is subject to change.

VISITE DU SECRETAIRE GENERAL DE L'OTAN AUX ETATS-UNIS

Le Secretaire general de l'OTAN, M. Willy Claes,
effectuera une visite aux Etats-Unis du vendredi 3 mars au
jeudi 9 mars 1995. A cette occasion, il rencontrera le
president Bill Clinton, le Secretaire d'Etat et le
Secretaire a la Defense, de hauts responsables du
gouvernement des Etats-Unis ainsi que des personnalites du
Congres.

Le lundi 6 mars, M. Willy Claes aura des entretiens avec
le Secretaire d'Etat, M. Warren Christopher, et le
Secretaire a la Defense, M. William Perry. Le mardi 7
mars, M. Claes aura une entrevue avec le president Clinton
a la Maison Blanche.
Les 8 et 9 mars, le Secretaire general devrait rencontrer
les membres de commissions du Senat et de la Chambre des
representants ainsi que le President de la Chambre, M.
Newt Gingrich.
