INFORMATION
The Latvian Defence Minister, Mr. Janis Trapans, will
visit NATO Headquarters on Wednesday, 8 February. He will
attend a meeting of the North Atlantic Council at which he
will declare acceptance of the Latvian Individual
Partnership Programme which has been jointly developed by
Latvia and NATO and approved by the North Atlantic
Council. The visit will begin at 9:50. The Defence
Minister's departure is expected at 10:40.

PROGRAMME OF THE VISIT
09:40 - NATO main entrance. Arrival of Mr. Trapans.
Open coverage on a first-come, first-served
basis.
09:45 - Bilateral meeting with Secretary General in the
Private Office.
In view of the limited space available, only a
restricted pool will be authorized to cover the
beginning of the meeting.
10:15 - Room 1: North Atlantic Council Session.
Introductory remarks by the Secretary General,
followed by replies by Mr. Trapans.
Presentation of Latvian Individual Partnership
Programme. Coverage within the conference room
by a restricted pool.
10:30 - NATO main entrance. Meeting with the press.
Departure of the Latvian Defence Minister at
about 10:40.
ACCREDITATION
Journalists wishing to cover the visit of the Latvian
Defence Minister will
be allowed into the NATO premises on presentation of a
NATO accreditation pass or a valid press pass.

INFORMATION
Le Ministre letton de la Defense, M. Janis Trapans,
effectuera une visite au siege de l'OTAN le mercredi 8
fevrier. Il assistera a une reunion du Conseil de
l'Atlantique Nord ou il declarera accepter le Programme de
partenariat individuel letton qui a ete elabore
conjointement par la Lettonie et l'OTAN et approuve par le
Conseil de l'Atlantique Nord. La visite commencera a 9h50.
