Le Conseil de l'Atlantique Nord, réuni en session ministérielle, a décidé le 16 décembre 1966, comme l'indique le communiqué, d'entreprendre une large analyse des changements intervenus sur le plan international et d'étudier les tâches futures de l'Alli

As stated in the Communiqué the North Atlantic Council in Ministerial session decided on 16th December, 1966, to undertake a broad analysis of international developments and to study the future tasks of the Alliance.

Following this decision, the Council in permanent session on February 22nd 1967, set up under the chairmanship of the Secretary General, a Special Group of Representatives designated by governments to prepare a report.

This Special Group has now established four sub-groups which are to convene at NATO Headquarters on 17th and 18th April, 1967, under the guidance of rapporteurs named by governments. The subjects to be studied and the names of the rapporteurs are as follows :

1. East-West relations Mr.J.H.A. Watson, Assistant Under Secretary of State, Foreign Affairs, (U.K.)

Mr.K. Schütz, Secretary of State Foreign Affairs (Fed. Rep. Of Germany)

2. Interallied relations Mr. Paul-Henri Spaak, Minister of State (Belgium)
3. General Defence Policy Mr. Foy Kohler, Deputy Under Secretary of State (U.S.)
4. Relations with other countries Dr. C.L. Patijn, Professor in Internatio- nal political relations, University of Utrecht (Netherlands)
