Генеральний секретар НАТО Єнс Столтенберг сказав: «Я радий оголосити, що саміт НАТО 2025 року відбудеться на Всесвітньому форумі в Гаазі із 24 до 26 червня 2025 року. Ми вдячні Нідерландам за те, що вони погодились вперше провести в себе цю зустріч. Нідерланди є країною-засновницею НАТО і роблять критично важливі внески в стримування і оборону Альянсу. На нашому саміті лідери будуть приймати рішення про продовження адаптації і зміцнення нашого Альянсу в безпековому середовищі, яке швидко змінюється. Разом в НАТО ми сильніші і в більшій безпеці».
Міністр закордонних справ пані Ганке Брюїнс Слот і мер Гааги Ян ван Занен у п’ятницю, 24 травня 2024 року, підтвердили дату і місце проведення.
Саміти НАТО – це нагода лідерам країн Альянсу прийняти рішення з важливих питань, що постають перед Альянсом.
