Я поздравляю Дональда Трампа с избранием на пост президента Соединенных Штатов Америки. И я ожидаю возможности работать с избранным президентом Трампом.

Мы сталкиваемся с серьезной обстановкой в области безопасности, которая включает гибридную войну, кибернападения, угрозу терроризма. Руководящая роль США столь же важна, как и ранее. Наш Североатлантический союз в течение почти 70 лет объединяет самых близких друзей Америки в мирное время и в случае конфликтов. Сильная НАТО – в интересах Соединенных Штатов и в интересах Европы. 

НАТО решительно реагирует на новую обстановку в области безопасности. Но нам предстоит еще многое сделать. И я с нетерпением жду возможности встретиться с г-ном Трампом в ближайшее время и приветствовать его в Брюсселе на встрече НАТО в верхах в следующем году, чтобы обсудить дальнейшую деятельность.
