Бомбардировщики США прибывают в Исландию для проведения учений с союзниками по НАТО

В настоящее время на авиабазе Кефлавик в Исландии действует оперативная группа бомбардировщиков США, в составе которой - более 150 военнослужащих ВВС США и три самолета B-2 «Спирит» с авиабазы Уайтмен (США), переброшенных в Кефлавик 13 августа 2023 года. Цель миссии - повысить способность сил НАТО к интеграции и усилению задач коллективной обороны, а также укрепить их готовность к участию в широком спектре военных операций.
