Встреча министров иностранных дел: Финляндия вступает в НАТО

Финляндия станет 31-м членом НАТО во вторник (4 апреля 2023 г.), непосредственно перед двухдневной встречей министров иностранных дел стран НАТО. Генеральный секретарь Йенс Столтенберг приветствовал предстоящее вступление Финляндии, заявив: «Это будет хороший день для безопасности Финляндии, для безопасности стран Северной Европы и для НАТО в целом».
На своей встрече союзники рассмотрят незаконную войну России против Украины и, как ожидается, договорятся начать работу по разработке многолетней программы поддержки. Они также обсудят угрозы и вызовы с юга, важность увеличения инвестиций в оборону и растущее сближение Китая с Россией. Партнеры НАТО в Индо-Тихоокеанском регионе и Европейский союз также присоединятся к обсуждению глобальных последствий войны России против Украины.
