Майже дев’яносто афганських громадян нещодавно прибули до Литви і Північної Македонії. Афганці, які раніше працювали на НАТО, і їхні родини, стали останніми евакуйованими з Афганістану, які залишили тимчасові притулки в Косові, де військові зі складу Сил реагування НАТО допомагали їх підтримувати і забезпечувати. В Косові афганці були забезпечені житлом і розквартировані індивідуально і з сім’ями, були забезпечені харчоблоками, медичними і стоматологічними послугами, приміщеннями для зібрань, центрами відпочинку для дорослих і дітей і релігійними закладами.
