Прем’єр-міністр Республіки Ірак відвідує штаб-квартиру НАТО

Генеральний секретар Єнс Столтенберг запросив Прем’єр-міністра Іраку Мустафу аль-Кадімі до штаб-квартири НАТО в середу, 30 червня 2021 року. Прем’єр-міністр аль-Кадімі, у супроводі міністра закордонних справ Фуада Хусейна і міністра оборони Джумаа Саадуна, обговорив з Генеральним секретарем досягнення завдяки місії НАТО в Іраку. Небойова місія спрямована на тренування і надання дорадчої допомоги іракським інституціям і силам безпеки, допомагаючи їм боротись проти тероризму і стабілізувати свою країну. Генеральний секретар наголосив на відмінній співпраці між НАТО і урядом Іраку і високо оцінив зусилля Сил безпеки Іраку із забезпечення неповернення Даеш/ІДІЛ. Вони обговорили стан безпеки в регіоні і прийдешні вибори в Іраку.
