Генеральный секретарь НАТО обсуждает ситуацию в Беларуси с президентом Польши

Во вторник (18 августа 2020 г.) Генеральный секретарь НАТО Йенс Столтенберг рассмотрел ситуацию в Беларуси во время телефонного разговора с президентом Польши Анджеем Дудой.
Оба руководителя согласились с тем, что Минск должен продемонстрировать полное уважение основных прав, включая свободу слова и право на мирный протест. Они также согласились с тем, что Североатлантический союз должен оставаться бдительным и строго оборонительным, готовым сдерживать любую агрессию против государств-членов НАТО.
Генеральный секретарь подчеркнул, что НАТО не представляет угрозы для Беларуси и не наращивает военную мощь в регионе. Все союзники поддерживают суверенную и независимую Беларусь.
