Клер Гатчінсон, Спеціальна представниця Генерального секретаря НАТО з питань жінок, миру і безпеки, у четвер, 25 жовтня 2018 року, в Нью-Йорку, взяла участь в дебатах Ради Безпеки ООН щодо надання жінкам більше повноважень і впливу. Пані Гатчінсон підкреслила рішучу відданість НАТО питанням жінок, миру і безпеки, наголосивши на прийнятті в липні лідерами Альянсу нової політики і Плану дій. Вона сказала: «Питання жінок, миру і безпеки потребують колективних дій задля досягнення відчутного прогресу. Ми повинні рішуче працювати разом над забезпеченням сталого і тривалого миру не лише для жінок, а для всіх».
