Понад 100 високопоставлених осіб і фахівців з більше як 50 країн і міжнародних організацій зібралися в Гельсінкі з 29 до 30 травня 2017 року для обговорення багатосторонніх режимів і ініціатив з нерозповсюдження, зважаючи на зміни в середовищі безпеки. Вони також звернули увагу на регіональні проблеми розповсюдження на Близькому Сході і в Азії, а також політику НАТО і зусилля інших міжнародних організацій щодо контролю над зброєю масового знищення (ЗМЗ) і роззброєння.
