Генеральний секретар НАТО Андерс Фог Расмуссен у середу (15 січня 2014 року) сказав Президенту Азербайджану Ільхаму Алієву, що Альянс має наміри зміцнювати свою співпрацю з його країною і подякував за підтримку його країною операцій НАТО. «Ми рішуче налаштовані надихнути нове життя в наш політичний діалог, в тому числі зі стратегічних питань, таких як енергетична безпека і протидія тероризму», – зазначив Генеральний секретар.
