Міністри закордонних справ НАТО зустрілись з міністрами закордонних справ Грузії і України у вівторок, 4 грудня 2018 року, для обговорення стану безпеки в Чорноморському регіоні і підтримку обох країн з боку Альянсу. НАТО значно збільшила свою присутність в Чорноморському регіоні за останні декілька років – на морі, у повітрі і на суші. Альянс і надалі зміцнюватиме свої зв’язки з Грузією і Україною.
