Following a request for assistance from Bosnia and Herzegovina through NATO’s Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Centre (EADRCC) in order to cope with the consequences of the COVID 19 pandemic, in the last few days Hungary and Slovenia have provided support with medical supplies and other items.

Hungary delivered 200,000 masks and 10,000 protective suits to Bosnia and Herzegovina on 16 April.  On the same day, Slovenia delivered tents, field beds, sleeping bags, electric heaters, blankets and other items through the EU Civil Protection Mechanism.

This followed the provision of medical supplies by personnel of the US Army and NATO Headquarters Sarajevo to Bosnia and Herzegovina on 15 April, and by the Turkish Ministry of Health earlier this month.
