Я только что встречался с министром иностранных дел Турции Феридуном Синирлиоглу, чтобы обсудить недавние военные действия Российской Федерации в Сирии и вокруг нее, включая неприемлемое нарушение турецкого воздушного пространства российским боевым самолетом.
Я дал ясно понять, что НАТО по-прежнему твердо привержена безопасности Турции. Позже сегодня я созову заседание Североатлантического совета, чтобы обсудить эту ситуацию.
Действия России не способствуют безопасности и стабильности в регионе.
Я призываю Россию в полной мере уважать воздушное пространство НАТО и избегать эскалации напряженности с Североатлантическим союзом. Я призываю Россию принять необходимые меры и привести свои усилия в соответствие с усилиями международного сообщества в борьбе с ИГИЛ.
