Во вторник (4 апреля 2023 г.) Генеральный секретарь НАТО Йенс Столтенберг приветствовал в штаб-квартире НАТО министра иностранных дел Японии Ёсимасу Хаяси.
«Нет более близкого и более способного партнера, чем Япония», – сказал он. Генеральный секретарь приветствовал партнерство Японии с НАТО, отметив, что безопасность носит глобальный характер и «то, что происходит в Европе, имеет значение для Азии». Он также высоко оценил решительную поддержку Японией Украины и решение страны открыть специальную дипломатическую миссию при НАТО. «Это важные шаги на пути к дальнейшему укреплению нашего партнерства», – добавил он.
