Генеральный секретарь НАТО в Вашингтоне: поддержка Украины отвечает интересам США

На совместной пресс-конференции с государственным секретарем США Энтони Блинкеном в понедельник (29 января 2024 года) Генеральный секретарь НАТО Йенс Столтенберг поблагодарил президента Байдена и госсекретаря Блинкена за их четкую приверженность сохранению поддержки Украины со стороны США.
«Победа России подстегнула бы Иран, Северную Корею и Китай. Это имеет значение для безопасности Европы и для безопасности Америки. Поэтому поддержка Украины отвечает интересам США», - сказал г-н Столтенберг. Генеральный секретарь подчеркнул, что «за ничтожную долю ежегодных оборонных расходов Соединенные Штаты помогли Украине уничтожить большую часть боевого потенциала России, не подвергнув опасности ни одного американского солдата». Он также поблагодарил госсекретаря Блинкена за его личную приверженность НАТО.
