Учасники ініціативи НАТО з розробки безпілотних морських систем (MUS) вирішили створити нову Інноваційну дорадчу раду, яка втілювала б численні завдання, пов’язані з розробкою безпілотних апаратів, здатних діяти під водою, над водою і на поверхні води. Амбіційна ініціатива НАТО MUS була офіційно розпочата в жовтні 2018 року 13 міністрами оборони країн – членів Альянсу.
