Генеральний секретар НАТО Єнс Столтенберг зустрівся у п’ятницю (17 червня 2016 року) з міністром закордонних справ Лівії Мохамедом Тага Сіала. Вони обговорили політичну ситуацію і стан безпеки в Лівії. Генеральний секретар сказав, що його надихає прогрес, досягнутий Урядом національної єдності на чолі з прем'єр-міністром Файєз Аль Сараджем, і повідомив про підтримку з боку НАТО процесу політичного діалогу, який очолює ООН.
