NATO launches five new multinational cooperation initiatives that enhance deterrence and defence On Thursday (17 October 2024), NATO launched five initiatives designed to address some of the most critical areas for Allied deterrence and defence. These new multinational High Visibility Projects will involve a total of 26 Allies and will help deliver critical capabilities that will enhance interoperability among NATO forces. |

NATO helps to strengthen Moldova’s military medical capacity NATO has delivered military medical equipment worth 700,000 euros to the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Moldova, through the NATO-led Defence Capacity Building Package for Moldova. It was financed through contributions from Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Turkiyë, and the United Kingdom and implemented by NATO’s Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA). The delivery was marked at a ceremony organised by Moldova’s Ministry of Defence, on Thursday (25 April 2024), in Chisinau. |

Located around 80 kilometres south of Tirana, Kuçova airbase will serve Albania and support Alliance logistics, air operations, training and exercises. NATO funded the base upgrade with around €50 million. |

NATO concludes contracts for another $1.2 billion in artillery ammunition On Tuesday (23 January 2024), Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and General Manager of the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) Stacy Cummings concluded contracts for the purchase of around 220,000 155-millimetre artillery shells worth 1.2 billion US dollars. |
