(As delivered)

Welcome to all of you. Good afternoon.

Welcome.

At our Summit in July, NATO leaders met with President Margvelashvili to mark the tenth anniversary of the NATO-Georgia Commission.

They recognized the scope and the depth of Georgia’s relationship with the Alliance.

And reaffirmed our support for Georgia’s ambitions for NATO membership.

Today’s meeting is an opportunity to discuss developments in our  cooperation.

Including the implementation of the Substantial NATO-Georgia Package. And preparations for the NATO-Georgia Exercise next March.

We will also discuss the security situation in the Black Sea region.  Which is of shared concern to NATO Allies and Georgia.

This concludes the public part of the meeting.

I thank the media for being with us here at the beginning and we will continue this meeting in just a moment.

Many thanks.
