NATO and Ukraine sign agreement on strategic airlift

On the margins of the informal NATO-Ukraine high-level consultations in Warsaw, a NATO-Ukraine Memorandum of Understanding on Strategic Airlift was signed on 7 June by Ukrainian Defence Minister Yevhen Marchuk and Admiral Miguel Fernandez, who is the representative in Europe of the Supreme Allied Commander for Transformation.

Strategic airlift agreement enters into force

Deputy Secretary General Minuto Rizzo travelled to Leipzig, Germany, on 23 March, for a ceremony to mark the entry into force of a multinational contract on a Strategic Airlift Interim Solution. The event was hosted by German Defence Minister Franz Josef Jung, since Germany has taken the lead on this initiative.
