NATO Allies and experts discuss intensifying hybrid campaigns against the Alliance in Prague

More than 100 Allied experts and representatives met at the NATO Hybrid Symposium in Prague, Czechia on 24-25 October to address the challenges posed by adversarial use of hybrid tactics. Participants discussed the worsening threat environment and how to strengthen NATO`s approach to countering hybrid threats and deter these threats more effectively.

Allied experts and representatives met with industry at the NATO Hybrid Symposium in Helsinki, Finland to address the challenges posed by adversarial use of hybrid tools (12-13 December 2023). At the two-day event, members of NATO’s Counter Hybrid Support Teams (CHST) convened for a training session, boosting the Alliance’s ability to respond to challenges and strengthening cooperation in the hybrid community. The Symposium also had a session with private sector representatives, to look at further collaboration between NATO and the private sector.

On Thursday (7 December 2023), NATO Headquarters hosted a conference on “Countering the Russian Manipulation of History and False Historical Narratives”. A diverse group of speakers and participants gathered to analyse how Russia manipulates history and makes use of false historical narratives to justify its war of aggression against Ukraine. Participants included distinguished experts from academia, think tanks, civil society organisations, and official institutions from NATO Allies, Ukraine and other NATO partner countries, as well as the European Union.
