From 11 to 14 December 2017, the General Mihailo Apostolski Military Academy in Skopje hosted a team of experts from the Cuiavian University in Włocławek for a workshop on e-learning capacity building. The event was part of NATO’s Defence Education Enhancement Programme (DEEP) with the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia¹.
E-learning is becoming an essential part of professional military education and is also one of the fastest growing areas of NATO’s technological education and training capabilities, and a tool the DEEP uses to provide support to partner countries.
As part of the DEEP programme, experts from across NATO will continue to support the Military Academy in Skopje with a number of activities throughout 2018.
DEEPs are tailored programmes through which the Alliance advises partners on how to build, develop and reform educational institutions in the security, defence and military domain. Projects are currently running in 12 countries: Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mauritania, the Republic of Moldova, Serbia, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia1, Tunisia and Ukraine.
