Fifth meeting of the Community of Interest of the Intelligence and Security-Related Centres of Excellence

On 21 May 2024 at NATO HQ in Brussels, the Joint Intelligence and Security Division (JISD) hosted an annual meeting with NATO’s 12 intelligence and security-related Centres of Excellence (COEs). The centres form a vibrant expert community of interest alongside NATO’s intelligence and security stakeholders. They meet routinely to discuss areas of common interest and how they can support and learn from each other.

On Tuesday 16 May 2023, the Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Intelligence Major General Jürgen Brötz hosted the fourth annual meeting with the intelligence and security related Centres of Excellence (CoEs), at NATO Headquarters in Brussels. The centres have come to form a vibrant Community of Interest with NATO’s intelligence and security stakeholders, and meet regularly to discuss common work strands, mutual support and ongoing engagements.

Around 1,500 military and civilian personnel from NATO and partner countries are gathering in Portugal this month for two maritime exercises aimed at testing the interoperability of new maritime unmanned systems. Both exercises are being held in areas around the Troia Peninsula.
