NATO's success relies heavily on being able to focus on a myriad of tasks within a secure, well-equipped working environment that enables and encourages the development of consensus among the Allies.
We have specialists whose role is to ensure the physical and information security of the Headquarters; others who provide conference facilities in direct support of the consensus-building process; architects, engineers, and technicians who provide the infrastructure within which all of this happens. The aim of all these disciplines, both on a day-to-day basis and in hosting Summits or Defence and Foreign Ministers meetings, is to provide the environment within which the vital political work of the Alliance can thrive.
