Description
NATO promotes democratic values and enables members to consult and cooperate on defence and security-related issues to solve problems, build trust and, in the long-run, prevent conflict. It is a crucial task in the Euro-Atlantic region. The Alliance does this by bringing together people from various cultural backgrounds and who have an interest in sharing information, building bridges, widening their network and sharing experiences. They communicate in several languages, by voice, on paper and by digital and web media.
Such a complex communication environment entails serious logistics divided into main activities: public diplomacy and media; linguistic task of translating NATO documents; simultaneous interpretation; distribution, storage and publication of digital and printed material, and engagement with the outside audiences through media operations and through the web.
