Major General Xhebexhia was born in Has, Albania, on 03 October 1970. In March 1994, he graduated the “Scanderbeg” Military Academy, Intelligence Branch. He started his career as a Platoon Leader in the “Commando Regiment”, as First Lieutenant.
In 1995, he was promoted to Second Lieutenant and appointed as Specialist in Analysis Section, Military Intelligence Directory (J2).
From 1996 to 2003, now as Captain, he served in Military Intelligence Directory (J2) in different positions. From September 1997 to June 1998, he served in Bosnia as coordinator for the Albanian contingent in Rajlovac, Sarajevo.
After being promoted to Major in 2004, he has served as Chief of Section (S-2), SIGINT Centre, and in 2007- 2008 as Deputy Commander of SIGINT Centre.
During this period, he served for 6 months in Bagdad, Iraq as Intel officer.
Between October 2005 and July 2006, he attended the Staff Officer High Course, Albanian Defence Academy.
On promotion to Lieutenant Colonel in 2008, he was appointed as Staff Officer for Intelligence, Albanian Military Representation to NATO, Brussels. He served for 3 years in this position.
After accomplishing his mission in NATO, from 2011-2012, he was appointed as Chief of SIGINT Centre, Defence Intelligence Agency.
During this time, he attended the Military Intelligence Advance Course.
From 2013 – 2014, after being promoted to Colonel, he was assigned as Director of Directory of SIGINT, Defence Intelligence Agency.
From 2014 to 2015, he served as Chief of Branch for Operations and Training (G-3/7), Land Force Command.
From December 2015 - June 2018, he served as Director of Directory for Operation and Training J3/7 in Albanian General Staff.
From July 2018 - October 2020, he served as Albanian Deputy Military Representative to NATO and Defence Attaché for the Kingdom of Belgium and the Republic of France.
By the decree of the President of the Republic of Albania on September 2020 he was promoted to Brigadier General.
From October 2020 – January 2022, he served as Commander of Albanian Naval Forces.
From January 2022 – April 2023, he served as Commander of Support Command of the Albanian Armed Forces.
From April 2023 - December 2025, he served as Commander of Land Forces.
By the decree of the President of the Republic of Albania on January 2024 he was promoted to Major General.

Publications
He published two books, “Iraqi Freedom” on 2006 and “South-East Europe Integrating Processes” on 2007 and co-authored on 2011 a book published by National Intelligence University in USA and Albanian Defence Intelligence Agency. He has also authored or co-authored numerous writings in the Military Magazine and Newspaper and in other military publishing and editions.
He is proficient in English, Turkish and Serbian.
He is married with Anila and has three children, one daughter and two sons.
