NATO Secretary General to visit New Zealand
The NATO Secretary General, Mr. Jens Stoltenberg, will travel to New Zealand on Monday 5 August and Tuesday 6 August 2019.
On 5 August, Mr. Stoltenberg will visit Christchurch, meeting with local authorities and the community affected by the March 2019 mosque attacks. Later in the day, he will participate in an event at the Centre for Strategic Studies at Victoria University of Wellington.
On 6 August, Mr. Stoltenberg will meet Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, and have a joint press conference. He will also meet separately with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Winston Peters, Defence Minister Ron Mark, and other senior officials. He will lay a wreath at Pukeahu National War Memorial Park.
