NATO Secretary General to visit Switzerland (revised)

The NATO Secretary General, Mr. Jens Stoltenberg, will visit Bern and Geneva on Wednesday, 1 March and Thursday, 2 March 2017.

During his visit in Bern, the Secretary General will meet the President of the Swiss Confederation, Ms. Doris Leuthard, the Federal Councillor and Head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Didier Burkhalter and the Head of the Federal Department of Defence, Civil Protection and Sport, Mr. Guy Parmelin.

In Geneva, the Secretary General will deliver remarks in a Public Townhall event at the Geneva Centre for Security Policy on “NATO: Projecting Stability Beyond our Borders” followed by Q&As. Mr. Stoltenberg will also have a meeting with the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross, Mr. Peter Maurer.
