NATO Secretary General to visit Lithuania

The NATO Secretary General , Mr. Anders Fogh Rasmussen, will visit Lithuania on 5 - 6 September 2013. During the visit to Vilnius, Mr. Fogh Rasmussen will meet with Lithuanian leaders and attend an informal meeting of European Union Defence Ministers.

Mr. Fogh Rasmussen will hold meetings with the President of Lithuania, Ms. Dalia Grybauskaité, the Prime Minister, Mr. Algirdas Butkevicius, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Linas Linkevicius, and the Minister of Defence, Mr. Juozas Olekas.

On Friday 6 September, Mr. Fogh Rasmussen will participate at the Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP) and Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP) Conference where he will deliver a keynote speech entitled “The Future of NATO and EU cooperation”.

The NATO Secretary General will also open the NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence with the President of Lithuania.
