GENERAL
An informal meeting of the North Atlantic Council (NAC) at the level of Ministers of Foreign Affairs will be held in Prague, Czechia, on 30-31 May 2024. The meeting will be chaired by the NATO Secretary General, Jens Stoltenberg.
VENUE
The ministerial meeting will take place at the Czernin Palace, Loretánské náměstí 5, Prague 1, 118 00.
The media centre office will be located nearby, in a temporary construction.
The media accreditation office will be located in the Tuscany Palace, Hradčanské náměstí 5, Prague 1, 118 00.
Press conferences will take place at the Hrzan Palace (located within walking distance), Loretánská 9, Prague 1, 118 00.
Since the venues are located in the historic part of Prague with cobblestone streets, we highly recommend wearing comfortable, sturdy shoes.

These locations are reachable by public transport. The closest station with public transport is “Pohořelec”. Please note no parking facilities will be available to the media.

MEDIA ACCREDITATION
Media accreditation is now closed. Media representatives who have successfully been accredited will have received confirmation by email. Please bring a printout of the confirmation email when collecting your badge.
Accredited media representatives should collect their media passes in person from the Accreditation Office. They will need to show the same ID card or passport that they used to register for the event.
MEDIA FACILITIES
The Media Centre will have the following facilities:
- A filing centre (including TV/radio editing area), with electricity (230V), access to video and audio feeds, cabled and Wi-Fi internet. Working spaces cannot be booked in advance;
- Information Desk;
- Internal Television Circuit for live and recorded broadcasts, information about the program, press conferences schedules and other information;
- A small area for indoor and outdoor stand-ups, for rotational use;
- Catering.
The Secretary General’s press conference will take place at the Hrzan Palace. Facilities in the Hrzan Palace include:
- A main press conference room;
- Two smaller press conference rooms;
- Terrace and outside stand-ups for rotational use (these spaces will need to be free for ministers’ engagements on 31 May in the afternoon);
- Room for media huddle.
SECURITY AND ACCESS
Media passes must be visible at all times. Security personnel may ask to see another form of ID. Media representatives should plan to arrive with sufficient lead-time to clear security checks. Security personnel will examine and may test equipment and personal effects carried onto the site.
Accredited journalists will have free access to the Media Centre, outdoor stand-up positions and catering area.
Please note that access to the press conference location Hrzan Palace will be subject to separate security check. When planning to cover press conferences, please foresee enough time for access through security and set up.
Pools will be escorted by security and media staff, and their equipment will be subject to additional security checks.

Information about individual ministers' media programmes should be sought directly from their national delegation(s). A list of NATO delegation press officers will be available in the Media Centre or by email at NATOMediaOperations[at]hq.nato.int.
POOLS
(Pool = restricted group of media covering a specific event; restrictions are based on security and space limitations)
Access to the opening remarks of the meetings and doorsteps will be open only for small media pools, due to space limitations. See detailed media programme for the exact schedule and description.
Pool cards will be distributed by NATO, upon request and availability. Only photographers and videographers will be part of the pools covering the opening remarks of the meetings. Reporters (written press) can also join in the pools for doorsteps.
To request access to pools, please email natomediaoperations@hq.nato.int by 29 May 2024. Once you receive a confirmation that your request is approved, the Pool Cards can be picked up at the Information Desk in the Media Centre within the timeframe indicated in the programme.
Please note that NOT all requests can be accommodated due to space limitations.
By accepting accept a NATO pool position, you commit to share immediately all information and material collected while in the pool with any accredited media that request it, at no charge and with no restriction on the use of the material for news purposes. Media representatives and news organisations must identify that it is pooled material every time it is used. Pooled material can only be used for legitimate news purposes and it cannot be sold.
DOORSTEPS
Doorsteps will take place on 31 May June from 07:45 to 09:00 CET.
Due to space limitations, access to doorsteps will be open only for small media pools and will be rotational. Journalists will be escorted to the doorstep location from the Media Centre (Information Desk), and back every 20 min. Movement from the Media Centre to the doorstep location will take about 10 minutes, including security checks.
Space in the doorstep area is limited. Measures may be taken to ensure that as many media representatives as possible have access to the location (e.g. by asking people to return to the Media Centre to free up space for others).
PRESS CONFERENCES
Press conferences will take place at the Hrzan Palace where three press conference rooms will be located. Several spaces for informal engagements with ministers (media huddle / scrum) will be set up inside the building and on the terrace.
Please note that, due to space constraints in the Main press conference room, the area for camera is limited. Therefore priority for access will be given to journalists. Media will be able to get a Host TV clean feed in the Media Centre.
The schedule of press conferences will be announced on CCTV – or national press will be invited directly by their national delegations.
The terrace and internal court can be used by media also for stand-up positions, on a first come first served basis. However, these spaces will need to be free for ministers’ engagements on 31 May in the afternoon.
BROADCAST
Czech National TV will serve as Host TV and will cover all public components of the event. Those will be broadcast in the Media Centre, and on the NATO website.
A live satellite world-feed of the main media events, such as the doorsteps and press conference of the NATO Secretary General, will be provided by NATO free of charge without encryption or downlink charges. The Host TV feed will be available in the media centre.
After each event, the videos are available for free download from NATO Multimedia. The video and audio may be used only for appropriate news and public affairs purposes.
A NATO TV studio will be available for interviews with ministers. Bookings can be done by delegations only via: broadcastoperations@hq.nato.int
