The NATO Deputy Secretary General to travel to the United States
The NATO Deputy Secretary General, Mr. Mircea Geoană, will visit Washington DC, in the United States of America, from Saturday, 7 May to Wednesday, 11 May 2022.
During his visit to the US capital, Mr. Geoană will have a series of meetings and engagements with high-level US officials including Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman, Under Secretary of Defense Colin Kahl, Homeland Security Advisor Elizabeth Sherwood-Randall, and Deputy National Security Advisor Anne Neuberger.
Mr. Geoană will also hold bilateral meetings with members of Congress, including Rep. Gerry Connolly, President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.
On Tuesday, 10 May, the Deputy Secretary General will deliver a speech followed by a Q&A session at the Meridian International Center. This event is dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the US-Romania strategic partnership relations and the transformative power of NATO enlargement.
On 11 May, Mr. Geoană will deliver a speech followed by a Q&A session at the Hudson Institute.
