There is just one week to go for media professionals to apply for accreditation for this September’s NATO Summit in Wales. The deadline for applications is midday (Central European Time) on Monday 4 August, 2014.

All media need to make an accreditation request, including media with permanent NATO press badges. Applications can be made here: https://my.hq.nato.int/

The summit, which will take place at the Celtic Manor Resort in Newport, Wales, will be a significant event in NATO’s history. Leaders from the 28-nation Alliance will reaffirm their commitment to collective defence and take further steps to ensure NATO is prepared to face any threat, with the right resources, capabilities and training. The summit will also turn a new page in relations with Afghanistan, with the ISAF combat mission due to be completed at the end of this year and ongoing preparations for a new, NATO-led non combat mission to train, advise and assist the Afghan security forces after 2014. It will also be an important opportunity to enhance NATO’s cooperation with partners around the world.
