NATO Ministers agree on key priorities for Afghanistan
23 Oct. 2009NATO Defence Ministers met in Bratislava today where, together with their counterparts from the non-NATO ISAF contributing nations, they agreed on a set of key priorities for Afghanistan for the end of 2009 and 2010, and on a strategic concept for the transition to an Afghan lead for security when the conditions are right.

Allies sign declaration of intent for HIP helicopter initiative
23 Oct. 2009NATO Deputy Secretary General, Claudio Bisogniero, presided over a signing ceremony in the margins of the NATO Defence Ministers meeting in Bratislava. The ceremony marked a declaration of intent by nine NATO Allies to contribute to a multi-national helicopter initiative designed to provide NATO and its operations with additional airlift capability through a multi-national cooperative programme run by the HIP Helicopter Task Force.
