La situation en Afghanistan et le rôle des voisins ce pays, les questions de sécurité énergétique et la sécurité commune en Asie centrale comptaient parmi les principaux points de l'ordre du jour du Forum du Conseil de partenariat euro-atlantique sur la sécurité qui s'est déroulé à Astana (Kazakhstan) les 24 et 25 juin 2009.
