US bombers train over Europe
Bomber Task Force Europe, a rotating deployment of heavy bombers from the US to Europe is currently active and flying missions out of RAF Fairford in England. During these missions, bomber pilots and crew practice moving through European airspace and performing simulated combat tasks like Close Air Support. Along the way, they’re escorted by fighter jets from NATO Allies, giving them a chance to practice communicating and coordinating with the smaller aircraft.
