(As delivered)

Good afternoon.
And welcome to this meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Commission.

And a very warm welcome to Minister Reznikov.
It’s good to see you here again Oleksii.

Ukraine has launched a counter-offensive and it is gaining ground.
And we must continue and increase the supply of military equipment, weapons and ammunition.

In today’s meeting we will discuss further steps we will take at the Vilnius Summit to support Ukraine.
Including a multi-year package of support, with substantial funding.
To ensure Ukraine’s deterrence and defence for the long-term.
To help rebuild its security and defence sector,
And to transition from Soviet to NATO standards.
Ensuring Ukraine can defend itself now and in the future.

We will also continue addressing Ukraine’s membership aspirations.
Ukraine’s future lies within the Euro-Atlantic family.
And all Allies agree that it will become a member of the Alliance.

This concludes the public part of the meeting.
I thank members of the media for joining us at the top of the meeting.
