Press Briefing at NATO Headquarters

Brigadier General Roger Noble, Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations, ISAF, will brief the press via video conference on his assessment of the security situation and campaign progress in Afghanistan over his 11 months of tenure.

An audio and video recording of the briefing will be available in English after the event (http://www.nato.int/).

Media who cannot attend may send their questions by email to moc@hq.nato.int. These will be answered during the briefing.

Accreditation

Journalists holding a 2012 NATO media pass will have access to the press conference room on presentation of the NATO permanent media pass.

Media representatives not in possession of a 2012 NATO media pass and wishing to attend the event are invited to request accreditation directly at the main entrance of the HQ, on 31 October, starting from 12h00.

They will have to present an ID and a valid press card (provided by a recognised national professional body of a NATO country – i.e. Government, Professional association or union, etc).

Those media representatives not having a valid press card (as listed previously) are invited to send a signed letter from their editor to NATO Press and Media Service, not later than Wednesday 31 October 09h00 (fax +32.2707.1399; email: press@hq.nato.int).

Media representatives are informed that a security check will take place, and security personnel will examine equipments and personal effects carried onto the site.
