Briefing by Major General Nick Carter, the Commander of ISAF Forces in Southern Afghanistan
Members of the media are invited to a Video News Conference with Major General Nick Carter (UK), the Commander of ISAF Forces in Southern Afghanistan (see attached bio). General Carter will provide an update on current military operations in Kandahar Province and on efforts to build the capacity of Afghan Security Forces. He will then take questions.
The video conference will take place on Tuesday 7 September at 14.30 in NATO Headquarters Luns Press Conference Room. The video conference can be followed via webstreaming on this link (http://www.nato.int/cps/en/natolive/events_57552.htm) and can be seen again on the NATO Channel TV website at http://www.natochannel.tv/. Photos will also be made available on the NATO website after the event.
Journalists wishing to participate in the event should present themselves at the entrance of NATO Headquarters with a photo id and a valid NATO permanent accreditation or a valid national press pass or letter from an editor of a bona fide media organisation. Sufficient time should be allowed for processing into the Front entrance.
