NATO Secretary General: 2010 will be a decisive year in Afghanistan

In a meeting with media representatives, the NATO Secretary General highlighted that 2010 will be a decisive year in Afghanistan. Speaking about the forthcoming Defence Ministers meeting in Istanbul (4-5 Feb) he highlighted that he is confident that we have the strategy, the resources and the unity we need to see real momentum this year. He stressed the fact that Afghanistan will be front and centre on the agenda later this week in Istanbul, where we will discuss how to take forward our strategy.
