by the Secretary General on terrorist bombing in Islamabad
On behalf of all the NATO Allies, I condemn in the strongest possible terms the terrorist bombing of the Marriott Hotel in Islamabad. This grotesque attack, which has caused huge loss of life and great suffering, has no justification whatsoever.
I express my condolences to the families of those who have lost loved ones in this tragedy. NATO remains committed to working with Pakistan, including the new Government, to combat the shared threat of violent extremism.
