NATO Deputy Secretary General to visit Italy
From 14 to 16 April 2024, the NATO Deputy Secretary General, Mr Mircea Geoană, will travel to Italy together with Permanent Representatives to the North Atlantic Council.
On Sunday 14 April, Mr Geoană will be in Turin, where he will have meetings, including with representatives of the Italian defence industry.
On Monday 15 April, the Deputy Secretary General will travel to Cameri to visit the city’s F-35 factory. Later, he will visit the NATO Centre for Maritime Research and Experimentation (CMRE) and shipyards in La Spezia.
On Tuesday 16 April, following a visit on-board Cavour aircraft carrier, Mr Geoană will be in Rome, where he will meet with the Minister of Defence, Mr Guido Crosetto, and an informal meeting of Permanent Representatives will take place at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Deputy Secretary General will also participate in the Società Italiana per l’Organizzazione Internazionale (SIOI) Rome International Conference organized in cooperation with the NATO Public Diplomacy Division to celebrate NATO’s 75th Anniversary.
