Conference to examine NATO’s transformation
A major conference in London, 20-21 July, brought together NATO representatives, government and industry leaders as well as academics to analyse the Alliance’s transformation. It also analysed NATO priorities for the years ahead.
The conference, hosted by the Royal United Services Institute and supported by Alliance Command Transformation, was endorsed as significant milestone on the way to NATO’s Riga Summit in November.
The conference addressed the full range of issues associated with transformation – the NATO Response Force, effects-based planning, NATO’s Afghanistan mission, improving the Alliance’s operations capabilities, strengthening its partnerships and defining future priorities.
