Israel signs security agreement with NATO
Israel is the first of the seven participants in NATO's Mediterranean Dialogue ¹ to have signed a security agreement with NATO. It was signed on 24 April at NATO HQ, Brussels.
This security agreement provides the framework for the protection of classified information, as defined by all 19 member countries, and is signed by countries that wish to engage in cooperation with NATO.
- The Mediterranean Dialogue also comprises Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Mauritania, Morocco and Tunisia.
