NATO Secretary General spoke with U.S. President-elect Biden

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg spoke with Joe Biden on Monday (23 November 2020) to congratulate him on his election as the next President of the United States and Kamala Harris as the next Vice-President. Mr. Stoltenberg thanked President-elect Biden for being a long-standing supporter of NATO and the transatlantic relationship.

They discussed the importance of our transatlantic Alliance as the cornerstone of our collective security. The Secretary General told President-elect Biden that he looked forward to working very closely with him to further strengthen the bond between North America and Europe and to prepare next year’s meeting of NATO leaders.
