NATO marks important step towards operationalising missile defence facility in Romania
NATO marked an important step towards operationalising a missile defence facility at the Deveselu Military Base in Romania on Friday (18 December 2015). This represents a step forward for the Alliance’s planned missile defence capability. In a speech at the Romanian Foreign Ministry, NATO Assistant Secretary General for Defence Investment Patrick Auroy welcomed the activation, saying that missile defence will be of increasing importance to the Alliance in the years to come.
