NATO Secretary General attends meeting of EU Defense and Foreign Affairs

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg attended on Monday (18 May 2015) the meeting of European Union Defense and Foreign Affairs Ministers in Brussels. "I'm glad to be back at the European Council. I think it is an expression of the close cooperation between the European Union and NATO. This close cooperation is very natural because we are facing the same security environment, the same challenges", the Secretary General told the media. He welcomed the decision that the European Union will take today on establishing an operation at sea to dismantle the criminal networks that are responsible for smuggling people across the Mediterranean.
